What is a Demo beat?

A beat used by an artist who creates a song by recording vocals over that demo beat. The song is usually used on the artists' Demo CD, which is then submitted to Record Labels and A&R's in order to secure a independent or major label contract. Our beats may be used for any purpose, as long as they are not resold individually or as part of another body of work. This includes modifications made to the beat such as remixing, chopping, screwing, or any other form of alteration. All demo beats on our site are official copyrights of Tri-FFECTA Productions, LLC and have been registered with the U.S. National Library of Congress.

So do I have to be a serious artist to purchase a demo beat?

No, not at all.  We welcome any music lover to purchase a demo beat for any general purpose such as: free-styling, music for your website, movie, myspace, personal page, battling, video game, soundtrack, youtube video etc.

Do purchased demo beats have tags or voice-overs on them? No. A purchased demo beat is only comprised of the music used to make that beat. Nothing more, nothing less.

How do I purchase a demo beat?

Purchasing a demo beat is a very simple process.  Simply peruse the demo beat pages, and find beats that you like. You can either buy a single beat immediately by using the "Buy Now" button, or buy multiple beats simultaneously by using the "Use Cart" button, which will open up a shopping cart. Once you decide to check out, you will be taken to the purchase page where you can select your method of payment via Pay Pal.   Note: you do not have to have a Pay Pal account to purchase a beat from us.

There does not appear to be very many beats in the Shopping Cart...Why is that?

There is text at the top of every page/category in the Shopping Cart that reads "Page:" and has an accompanying drop down box to the right which allows you to select a page number for that category. So if a category (say "Rap" which has 4 pages of demo beats in our shopping cart) has more than one page you will be able to cycle through the different pages with that drop-down box.

How is the demo beat delivered to me?

The purchase process for demo beats is completely automated. Once you have purchased your beats(s) via Pay-Pal (note: it is not required that you have a Pay-Pal account), you will be taken to a download page (as well as emailed a download link) which will permit you to download your demo beat(s). You will have 1 hour and 1 opportunity to download your beat.

The filename for the beat I previewed and attempted to purchase is different from the filename of the .mp3 presented to me for download...Why is that?

This is simply a technical formality caused by how our inventory and supply-chain is setup. If you do purchase a beat that is different from the one you thought you were actually purchasing (no, we aren't perfect) send us a message and we will check the links of the beats/files in question. If the links are in fact crossed or faulty, we will send you the beat you meant to purchase free of charge.

The demo beat I purchased doesn't fade in or out, why is that?

We didn't fade the beats in or out because we wanted to give customers the option to do so, or not to do so. We figured some customers may want a sharp ending to the beat while others may want the traditional fade-out. And some customers may want to cut the intro out all together and jump straight into the chorus or verse. We didn’t apply any of those aspects to our demo beats because they would have been irreversible for the customer. Whether you are using Pro-Tools, Cubase, MAGIX, or some other audio processing software, most will allow you to fade-in, fade-out, splice audio, etc. So you be the judge.

Is there a refund policy for purchasing beats?

All sales are final.  No refunds will be given, once a purchase has been made.

top

What all am I entitled to once I purchase a demo beat?

Please refer to the "Demo Beat License Agreement," which outlines what the buyer and seller are entitled to once the demo beat has been purchased.

top

Once I purchase a demo beat, can I share it with others, or upload it to a peer-to-peer network like Limewire?

It is expressly prohibited in the "Demo Beat License Agreement" that once a demo beat is purchased, it is not to be shared through email, peer-to-peer networks, FTP transfers, without the express written consent of Tri-FFECTA Productions, LLC.

top

Who all has access to demo beats, and how many times can a demo beat be purchased?

Demo beats are open to the general public and may be purchased an infinite number of times by the same or a different individual.   Remember that these beats are geared more towards "demo" usage and not for albums, and a hot song is more than just a beat, but consists of lyrical content and arrangement as well.   A song made using one of our demo beats will only be as hot as you make it.

I really like this demo beat.  Is it possible for me to purchase it exclusively for myself?

Yes.  Just contact us for details concerning pricing and delivery information.  Once a demo beat is converted to an exclusive purchase, that beat will be taken down from the site. A separate contract, between Tri-FFECTA Productions, LLC and the purchaser, will be drafted and signed by both parties. This contract will outline all payment and royalty information, as well as transfer of the copyright and ownership of the beat to the purchaser, as well as any other pertinent details. All exclusive beats are delivered to the purchaser in separated tracks as a well as a complete beat in .mp3 and .wav formats.
